GESSO VALLEY
Graziand the proximity of the sea and its orography often the quantity
and snow quality is such that to be able to ski until May.
Heart of the Maritime Alps and an integral part of the homonymous Natural Park, the Gesso valley is simply beautiful.
The beauty, the typical light of the Southern Alps and the itineraries will amaze you, just 50 km from the sea.
We will stay at the Valasco refuge 1750 meters, former hunting lodge of the kings of Italy, now restored and thanks to the work of Cis, tireless manager, comfortable base for our trips.
PROGRAM

01 Day
Minibus to S.Anna, Tetti Gaina 1075 mt.
25 km from Cuneo, put on your skis in about 1h 30 'reach the le Terme di Valdieri.
Restful break at the Savoia house.
Put the skis on the feet for an hour to reach the Valasco refuge 1764 mt., which will be our base for this exciting week.
02 Day
Leaving the refuge for Val Morta up to Valasco's collar 2429 mt.short descent to reach the basin of the lakesFremamorta 2375 mt. the breathtaking view of the group

From the Top of Bresses down to the pass of Tablasses 2742 mt., where along the East face of the Testa di Tablasses with long and easy descent we will return to Valasco.

03 Day
Splendid itinerary, we will enter in the valley of the Prefouns, one of the most beautiful of the Maritime.
Reached the step Prefouns 2620 mt., (casermetta) short descent and ascent to the Head of Tablasses 2851 mt.
for the bravest descent along the canal Nw 600 mt to 40 °, otherwise descending along the ascent route.

04 Day
Visit to the refuge This 2388 mt., closed during the winter, along the lake of the Portette
an inviting Walloon will take us to the hill Margiola
and then to the head of the same name 2852 mt.
Another wonderful trip with views of the French valleys.

05 Day
Visit to the top Malinvern 2939 mt., the great classic.
We will follow the old paved road built for military use lakes of Valscura
and past the beautiful namesake barracks 2471 mt. a last short and steep slope will take us to the low of the Druos 2628 mt.
From here a canal will take us to the final slope to the summit of the Malinvern, a privileged vantage point between France and Italy.

06 Day
Valrossa,Iitinerario wrongly little known. Reached the gias Valrossa 2175 mt. closed by an impressive rocky belt we will enter the valley up to the lakes of Valrossa 2451 mt. where the valley opens revealing all its beauty.
From the plateau a final climb between the fortress la Paur and the fortress of Valmiana will take us to the top of the Head of Valrossa 2914 mt. , view of the Cuneo plain and the nearby Monte Matto 3088 mt.

07Day
Cima di Valcuca 2605 mt.
From the plain of Valasco to the lake of Valcuca, a small jewel at an altitude of 2180 meters, from the lake we will follow the valley that in the last part turns into a steep channel up to the top.
The descent can be made both for the ascent route and on the slope of the Valle Morta and from here to the Valasco plain.
From the shelter, after a restorative break, long descent to the parking lot.
Technical Level:
- Good skiers on all the snows.
- Ski day at a good pace.
- Sometimes steep slopes.
- Good physical condition.
